Area Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with swastikas, they announced in a release.
Officers report they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.
The fluid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they stated.
Officers then located multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report initial examinations suggest the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; investigators are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.
City officials stated they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the residents for details.
An important representative commented the attack made him stunned and needed to be solved rapidly.
"This incident hits the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant aiming at individuals of migrant background in 2020.
