I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
