Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his first trophy for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term coach his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and regular outbursts on court had led some to question if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and compete assertively, backed up by an improved serving game.
The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He saved 4 early-game chances in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he secured the title with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
